Tenuta Garetto is located in Agliano Terme, the most valuable spot to produce Nizza Docg, a brand new appellation, which is considered the highest expression of the Barbera d’Asti grapes. The vines have been planted in the last century ‘30s and ’50s and they have ideal exposures, facing South/South-West. Our focus with Tenuta Garetto is the production of Barbera with three different expressions, Nizza DOCG, Barbera d’Asti DOCG, Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG and some Grignolino d’Asti DOC. Food pairing: with rich first courses, red meat and game, spicy cheeses. Serving temperature: 14-16° C. Taste: High concentration and almost viscose feeling balanced by a tense freshness. Appearance: Purple red-vibrant dark complexity. Aroma: Hints of blueberries, berries, plums and bread crust. Grape variety: Barbera.
