All of the Symington family’s vineyards are managed under the principles of Integrated Production Management and/or organic viticulture and it is also the largest organically farmed wine producer in Portugal (currently 126 hectares and set to expandfurther), through its three Vilariça Valley properties. Ready to drink now although it will benefit from some further bottle-ageing. Given it’s full structure and fine acidity, it will develop very favourably in bottle. Spice, Christmas cake, plum, garrigue and smoke nose. Attractive, juicy fruit with a firm sappy length…supple, vigorous wine with well-tamed tannins. Food pairing: International spiced foods or everyday pasta-based dishes and casual meals such as tapas. Serving temperature: 14- 17º C. Taste: The wine shows excellent structure and balance and the fruit is fresh and focused. The elegant long finish denotes the balance afforded by the perfect acidity. This wine is made with 100% organically grown grapes from the family’s vineyards. Appearance: Intense, garnet colour. Aroma: Beautifully scented, with floral and ripe red fruit aromas. Grape variety: Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Nacional and Tinto Cão.
