The Machir Bay is really exceptionally good, especially considering that this is just a standard bottling. The use of bourbon and sherry barrels in the maturation shows up in the beautiful sweetness with vanilla and caramel. These are perfectly rounded off by the light wood notes and the soft smoke. Taste: Bursts of tropical fruit and dried sultanas, warming smoke and waves of honey, malt, butterscotch and rich sweetness Aroma: Lemon zest, vanilla and distinct coastal influence give way to floral intensity, juicy peaches, pears, and wafts of rich spices.
