Plantation Barbados Grande Reserve 5 yo is a Barbados rum from the Plantation rum range with a 5 year age statement on it. It has been aged in bourbon barrels and finished in Cognac casks to create a flavour to savour. A leathery mustiness is quickly over come by caramel and orange peel. Taste: Sweetness of caramel and orange peel that turn to their spices of pepper, nutmeg cloves the return of the vanilla and onto their beautiful fruits banana pineapple and tid bits of citrus. Appearance: Amber Aroma: Sweet baking treats caramel, toasted coconut, wood related vanilla is quickly followed by hints of banana and pineapple.
