This rum is the first vintage in the Single Estate Series, coming from just one year of harvest. Mount Gay Single Estate Series rum release_02 was created using 100% molasses created from sugar canes grown at the Mount Gay Estate in St Lucy, Barbados. The molasses have as characteristics a very high sugar content (72%).Single Estate is a sipping rum, and it is at level of alcohol that offers a beautiful balance between power and elegance, intensity and finesse of the aromas… it is an invitation to discover the many layers of flavours that come from our Estate canes. Personally, after a few sips, I recommend to add a drop of spring water and you will notice new hints coming up… it is a beautiful journey Taste: Brown sugar, oak, grapefruit, floral notes and salty smokiness. Appearance: Light golden color. Aroma: Bold citrus, sweet fruit aromas, grapefruit, sweet plums, banana, almonds, sea salt, and milk chocolate.
