The Leitz family has been growing grapes since 1744. Johannes Leitz took over the winery in 1985 with 2.5 hectares of vineyards. Since then, the winery has grown steadily and is now the largest family winery in Hesse. In addition to the size, the quality has also increased. The highlight was in 2019 when we received 5 grapes and 5 stars from Gault-Millau and Eichelmann. Together with its membership of the VDP, Weingut Leitz is one of the best wineries in Germany. Food pairing: with salads and mildly spiced chicken or fish dishes. Serving temperature: 10° C.
Taste: In the mouth it appears very fresh and surprisingly round. The counterpart to our entry-level Riesling opens up a completely new taste style and reveals itself with a very harmonious fruit bouquet. The finely integrated acidity supports the fruit character very skilfully thanks to the low residual sugar and creates a wonderfully refreshing impression.
Appearance: Pale pink.
Aroma: Notes of light berries such as raspberry and red currant.
Grape variety: Pinot Noir
