In 1996 Kim Crawford and his wife Erica fell in love with the idea of starting a winery. In their first vintage they produced 4,000 cases without owning a single grapevine or tank. With headspinning speed their powerful aromatic wines gained a devoted following and within four years of their first release they had their own state of the art Marlborough Winery and were exporting wines across the world. Today Kim Crawford is the number 1 luxury New Zealand Wine in the USA. Kim Crawford produces one of Marlborough’s benchmark Sauvignon Blancs and has been named in the "Wine Spectator Top 100” four times. A perennial favorite enjoyed by the glass in restaurants, it has also been named in the “2019 Wine & Spirits Restaurant Top 10” Sauvignon Blanc category. The secret to Kim Crawford’s success is serious attention to detail in the vineyards and winery, with a special focus on sustainable practices, individual vineyard block harvesting, and small lot fermentation. Food pairing: Pairs brilliantly with fresh oysters, asparagus, lobster, or summer salads. Serving temperature: 6-8° C.
