The XO (eXtra Old) is a blend of Armagnacs which have been aged in Limousin and Gascon black oak for a minimum of 12 years up to 25 years. The spirits used in the XO blend are chosen for their specific superior quality as they represent the best "eau de vie" coming mainly from the area of Bas Armagnac as well as from the Tenarèze. The white grape varieties Baco and Ugni Blanc are distilled using the Single Distillation process and to a smaller extent. the Double Distillation process Taste: Very intense and well balanced. Hints of oak. quince and sour cherries followed by almonds and finishing on spicy notes. Appearance: Coppery amber. Aroma: Candied plum. oak and red fruits.
