Dewar's whiskies always go through a double ageing process to add more smoothness. After this second maturation, the 'Double Agent' edition is separated in two batches. The first is finished in Sweet Sherry casks, the other in Smoky Islay casks. The liquids are then brought together with amazing results: a delicious sweet whisky with secret smoky notes. Or is it a smoky whisky with hidden sweet notes? Taste: Grilled peach is followed by toasted clove and a touch of nutmeg, silky caramel, and candied nuts tangle with distant Islay peat. Orchard fruits linger on the finish, with sweet toffee, bold roasted malt, and singed oak. Appearance: Amber caramel colour. Aroma: Fresh stone fruits, almonds, and honey, with elegant smoke drifting through.
