Black and White is built around three key malts whiskies, Dalwhinnie, Clynelish and Glendullan, which together form the heart of the blend. The brand was originally named 'The Buchanan Blend' and was sold in a black bottle with a white label. The packaging set it apart from its competitors and was so distinctive that a growing number of customers began to ask for 'that black and white whisky'. Bending to popular demand, James Buchanan renamed his blend and in 1904, the name 'Black & White' was formally adopted. Taste: Sugary dried fruit, young oak, vanilla, caramel and lemon.
