Baron Philippe de Rothschild was founded in 1930 in Pauillac, near Bordeaux, by the Baron Philippe de Rothschild. The winery produces Grand Cru Classé such as Chateau Mouton-Rothschild, Chateau D’Armailhac or Clerc Milon. It also produces Mouton Cadet, the leading premium wine Bordeaux brand. Today Baron Philippe de Rothschild remains a family owned company, lead by the 3rd generation of the Rothschild family.

Taste: From a rounded attack on attractive red and black fruit flavours, the mid-palate offers supple and elegant tannins, making way on the finish for the spice notes typical of fully ripe Merlot.
Appearance: An intense crimson.
Aroma: The nose is smooth and fruity, on notes of blackberry, bilberry and cherry, with a hint of roasted coffee beans and mild spice such as saffron.
